My Story.

Heidi Marie Private Jeweler was born out of my passion for designing and creating custom fine jewelry.

I can recall flipping through Elle Magazine in the 6th grade, ripping out editorials and ads from big-name jewelers and pinning them to my wall. This artistic spark led me to a lifetime of exploring the arts through painting, drawing, metal sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry design.

While attending college, I was fortunate enough to land a job at a prominent jewelry store in downtown Iowa City. Working with clients to create modern heirlooms always brought me joy.

After graduating cum laude with a BA in Art with a specialization in jewelry and metal art at the University of Iowa. I also completed an Entrepreneurial Certificate program at the UI’s Tippie College of Business. Since then I’ve worked as a financial advisor, and continue to do so.

Over the years I’ve created custom engagement rings and wedding jewelry for friends and colleges. I see designing jewelry as more than creating an object but telling a personal story. This belief and desire are what inspired me to launch, Heidi Marie Private Jeweler in 2020. Jewelry is an expression of one’s self, a token of love, or a way to honor someone. It’s my delight to help you create these lasting heirlooms.

I currently live in Bennington, NE with my loving husband, Kalvin, and my two adorable kids Ava and Henry. Let’s work together to tell your story through a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
